Germany have won the world cup after defeating Argentina 1-0 after extra time.Mario Gotze scored the only goal of the match in the 113rd minute of the match with superb finish from Andre Schurrle's cross.The match also included standout performances by Bastian Schweinstieger,Toni Kroos and Mats Hummels.Gotze came on as a substitue in the 88th minute thus becoming the first substitue to score in a world cup final.
